How to Eat Well During the Holiday Season

It’s the season of indulging, and for those of us trying to stick to a healthier diet, it can feel like temptation is around every corner. We know it’s especially hard when you’re ordering food. To make life a little easier for you, we’ve put together a list of delicious and healthy options that don’t compromise on taste, that you can order on LUNCH:ON. Choosing a healthy option doesn’t mean you can’t indulge, take a look at the list below to see what we mean!

1. Wagamama’s Warm Chili Chicken Salad

All Wagamama’s meals are delicious but If you’re trying to avoid carbs and save yourself a few calories, then it’s the Warm Chili Chicken Salad that you should opt for. Sitting on a bed of baby gem lettuce, this stir-fried chicken, red peppers, snow peas, and broccoli is the perfect lunchtime treat, minus the guilt.

2. Soulfull’s Spinach Gnocchi

Soulfull has gone one step further and had all their meals approved by a nutritionist so you know whatever you pick on their menu is going to be good for you! Their Spinach Gnocchi is a great choice if you find yourself tempted by carb-heavy pasta dishes but don’t want to break your healthy streak. You can rest easy as you tuck into this filling gnocchi dish that you’re still on track.

3. Freshii’s Fiesta Chicken Salad

It’s no surprise that Freshii is on our list of delicious healthy options. They have lots of great healthy and filling salads — choosing just one is tricky. We picked their Fiesta Chicken Salad because not only is it packed with Cajun chicken and lots of fresh vegetables, but it also has black beans which are a great source of protein as well as being a filling alternative to carbs.

4. Poke & Co’s Aloha Salmon Poke Bowl

Poke and Co’s Aloha Salmon Poke Bowl is packed full of nutrients and vitamins that are important to keep you healthy. Not only will this Salmon Poke bowl fill you up but it will also pump you full of the energy you need to keep going and not snack on chocolate treats when it hits 3PM.

5. Chicken Shop’s Mediterranean Chicken with Quinoa

Sometimes just choosing a different side on a meal can make all the difference. What we love about The Chicken Shop is that not only are there different types of chicken to choose from (Peri Peri, BBQ, and Mediterranean) but there are also lots of different sides to choose from too. If you want to have a treat you could choose to get the fries as a side but there are also plenty of healthy options to choose from. You could opt for the healthy carb option of quinoa or brown rice or opt for steamed vegetables if you need to top up your 5-a-day!

6. Richy’s Lusty Beetroot Salad

Richy’s lusty beetroot salad is packed full of flavor proving you don’t need to compromise on taste to be healthy! With beetroot, mushrooms, dried cranberries, and quinoa this salad is stuffed with probiotic goodness. The delicious raspberry vinaigrette comes on the side, so you can choose if you want to be ultra-healthy and forego it or treat yourself just a little to a zesty splash.
